Photography comes and goes in phases for me; I have been absent here for some time but I guess it's starting back up again. I broke my beloved Sony DSC-R1 last month. It still turns on, the circuitry and lens and everything seem fine and it still takes pictures, but the physical controls don't function correctly (barely at all), and I was quoted WAY too high a price for repair. For now I'm borrowing my mother's little-used Pasasonic G2 (a Micro Four-Thirds camera, which is something I've been considering for some time now) with kit lenses. Frankly, I don't like it much. I enjoyed Avatar. Really. But my brain is starting to hurt from seeing so much bloody Na'vi fan art and from reading testimonials from people whose lives seem to have been somehow changed by this (very unoriginal) movie. They are silly giant blue cat people. I don't get the obsession. Blah.
